Fatra, the manufacturers (and patent owners) of Libu Niklov inflatable animal designs discontinued producing plastic toys in 2000 because they could no longer keep up with the competition from Chinese manufacturers.
Fortunately, not long ago, they began collaborating with contemporary product designers to create an entirely new collection of inflatable toys.
The stunning F1 car designed by Jan Äpek is one of the products from this collaboration. The cigar shaped form is inspired by the body of Niklov’s Giraffe, it is big enough for young children to sit on and makes a great addition to their play and living space.
